Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before swiping your way to a builder-marketer partnership.

Is ShipSwipe free?

Yes — ShipSwipe is completely free. There is no signup, no account, and no payment. Your profile, swipes, and matches stay in your browser on your device. We do not charge for matching or connecting.

How do you handle fake profiles or spam?

This demo uses a fixed roster of curated seed profiles — no open submissions. That means no fake profiles, bots, or spam in the deck. In a live product we would add identity checks, reporting, and moderation before listings go public.

How do intros actually reach people?

Being honest: this is a local demo. Intro messages you write are stored in your browser only — they do not send email, SMS, or push notifications. Use the connect panel to note contact details and follow up through your real channels.

What if someone ghosts after we match?

It happens. ShipSwipe surfaces partnership terms upfront so you can filter for aligned expectations. Send a concise intro, set a follow-up date, and if there is no reply, keep swiping. Undo is there if you passed someone worth another look.

Can I be both a builder and a marketer?

You choose one role per profile. Many operators do both in real life, but ShipSwipe keeps sides separate so builders discover marketers and marketers discover builders. Pick the hat you are wearing for this launch.

Is my data stored on a server?

No. ShipSwipe is fully client-side. Your profile, swipes, matches, and messages live in local storage on your device only. Clear site data in your browser settings to wipe everything.

Who is ShipSwipe for?

ShipSwipe is for indie builders who have a product but need distribution, and growth marketers who have channels but need something worth promoting. If you are looking for a co-founder, it may not be the right fit — we focus on launch partnerships.

How does matching work?

You swipe through profiles on the opposite side of the market. A like on someone who already liked you creates a mutual match. Both sides must swipe right — there is no one-sided matching.
